Have been sooo ill the last few days ...its felt like weeks tho haha. J+B's wedding on friday was amazing and i did alot of crying! Then in the evening we all got mega drunk, danced lots and got up to naughty things! and i think i was drunk most of the next day to as i stumbled home. Thanks to Dave for being a good boy and not pulling me over in the mud Thanks to my illness for staying away till sunday morning! Thanks to Puds dad for taking extra care of my sick baby an extra night un letting sick mummy sleep!
Thanks to the chickens for not being mad at me cos i couldn't let you run free till today... you really shouldnt of pecked Puds dad when he fed you yesterday tho! When i cleaned them out today, Strut was standing on a bit of wood... she has been very curious of me lately, lots of brocking noises, well anyways i went to stroke her...she normally runs away but this time she squatted! I was so happy i scooped her up for a cuddle. After putting her down i signalled to Pud thru the window to come see, but Strut wasnt having any of it and ran away again haha. You wont believe how big Bunny has got since we wormed them all... she challenges Strut now and again but is still really wary of us humans. The chucks all go into the run now when you call them, rather than being chased, but then i do give them a treat if they comply! Parsnips are a big favorite.
After over 4 months of living with us, Alfred went to his new home on Monday the 17th November. He will be living with 7 chickens, another cockeral and a bunch of ducks, there he can be as noisy as he likes! To put it bluntly im gutted...nuff said.
Time to update? yawn! who reads this anyways hehe.... nearly 20 eggs since i last wrote, yes its smeegal, un yes it still amazes me how chickens do that...create eggs. Alfred started crowing last week although at the mo it sounds more like a football chant than a cock-a-doodle-do haha. He has been humping Smeegal today im not impressed... he will have to go soon me thinks. Not impressed with that either as we have grown close to the beautiful little git seeing as we have raised him for over 4 months.
The clocks changing throws me out...all i want to do is sleep or laze about and eat! The weekends are my time for sleeping well the last 2 anyways, ill turn into a cabbage or summit. Oh and I brought christmas chockys the other day... i cant have treats in the house i ate a whole box of coffee creams and couldnt sleep. Today its been the mint creams, saturday was a battenburg cake, friday was a chocolate ring doughnut, i have my eye on the biscuits and puds packed lunch goodies! gobble gobble, already putting weight on my hips! I remember when i could gobble what i wanted and never put on weight.
Im happy which means i find it really really hard to create art... bummer.
Im sooooo happy. We got our first egg today! I think Smeegal layed it as she was acting all weird this afternoon. Gutted i missed it! Its 12 un a half cm round the middle and weighs in at just under 50g's im amazed at how clean it was lol, this is how it came out! Most bizarre indeed.Not sure what i was expecting.....
Fingers crossed for tomorrow! One girl down 2 to go! We have only been waiting over 3 months haha.
